Representative Kim Schrier, M.D., who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 8th District since 2019, recently addressed her constituents and partners through a series of social media posts. Schrier, who replaced Dave Reichert in Congress and resides in Sammamish, regularly updates the public on legislative developments and local partnerships.
On July 14, 2025, Schrier expressed appreciation to attendees of a recent town hall meeting in Sammamish. She stated, “Thank you to everyone who joined yesterday’s town hall in Sammamish to discuss the Big Ugly Bill and what its passage means for #WA08. I will keep fighting to reverse the cuts and protect hardworking families across our state.”
The following day, July 15, 2025, Schrier shared her gratitude after meeting with King County Public Health officials. She wrote, “I was grateful to recently meet with my partners at @KCPubHealth and hear about the impactful work they are doing in our community.”
Later on July 15, Schrier encouraged constituents to engage with upcoming discussions about issues affecting Washington’s Eighth District. She posted, “Looking forward to discussing these key issues impacting the Eighth District. Be sure to tune in tomorrow morning!”
Kim Schrier was born in Los Angeles in 1968 and holds a BS from the University of California, Berkeley (1991). She continues to reside in Sammamish while serving her district.
