Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., a U.S. Congresswoman representing Washington’s 8th District since 2019, has recently shared her thoughts and updates on social media. The tweets cover a range of topics from celebrating Pride Month to addressing a recent antisemitic attack.

On June 1, 2025, Rep. Schrier marked the beginning of Pride Month by highlighting its significance. She stated, “Happy Pride Month! Pride is a time to celebrate the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community to our society and to continue the ongoing struggle for equality and justice.”

Later that day, she encouraged constituents to stay informed about her legislative activities through her e-newsletter. In her tweet, she asked, “Are you signed up for my e-newsletter? To stay informed on my work in Congress and in the Eighth District, subscribe below!”

On June 2, 2025, Rep. Schrier expressed her dismay over an antisemitic attack targeting Boulder’s Jewish community. She tweeted her condolences and called for action against such violence: “I’m horrified by the antisemitic terrorist attack on Boulder’s Jewish community yesterday, and my thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their loved ones.” She emphasized that this type of violence must not be allowed to proliferate further.

Kim Schrier was born in Los Angeles in 1968 and currently resides in Sammamish. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
