Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., currently serving as a U.S. Congresswoman for Washington’s 8th District, recently shared several updates via social media, highlighting her legislative efforts and commitments. A medical professional by background, Rep. Schrier frequently discusses health-related policies alongside broader district interests.

On March 17, 2025, Rep. Schrier announced the formation of the Congressional Doctors Caucus with her Democratic colleagues. In her post, she emphasized their commitment to science and patient advocacy in response to Republican initiatives that she claims threaten healthcare access. She stated: “Great News: My Democratic colleagues and I officially created the Congressional Doctors Caucus.”

The following day, March 18, 2025, Rep. Schrier acknowledged National Agriculture Day through another update. She expressed pride in representing local farmers and highlighted her ongoing work in Congress to support agricultural communities within her district through bipartisan solutions: “Today is National Agriculture Day and I am proud to represent local farmers and growers in Congress where I’m working to find bipartisan solutions that support the Eighth District’s agriculture community.”

Later on March 18, Rep. Schrier introduced the National Landslide Preparedness Act Reauthorization Act alongside other representatives. This initiative aims to enhance research and prevention measures against landslides—a pertinent issue for her constituents who have experienced such natural disasters firsthand: “Today, I introduced the National Landslide Preparedness Act Reauthorization Act with @RepDelBene, @RepMGP, and @RepNewhouse.”
