Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 8th district since 2019, has recently shared updates on social media about issues affecting her constituents, including trade policy impacts, vaccine recommendation processes, and community engagement.
On August 3, 2025, Schrier highlighted the importance of international trade to Washington State’s economy. She stated: “Washington State relies on our trade partnerships with other countries to support industries that are critical to our local economy like manufacturing and agriculture. The following day, August 4, Schrier addressed changes in federal vaccine recommendation procedures. Now, under RFK Jr.’s leadership, they have been kicked out of the process,”.

Born in Los Angeles in 1968 and residing in Sammamish, she graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991.
