U.S. Representative Kim Schrier, M.D., shared updates about her recent activities and outreach efforts in Washington’s Eighth District through a series of social media posts.
On March 31, 2026, Schrier announced new federal funding for the district. She stated, “See the below graphic to read more about the over $14 million in federal funding I secured for key priorities across the Eighth District – including housing, public safety, transportation, and infrastructure projects coming to #WA08.” The funding is directed toward multiple areas such as housing and infrastructure improvements within the district.
The following day, on April 1, 2026, Schrier described her visit to a local senior center. She posted, “I served lunch at the Mt. Si Senior Center this week, where I had a great time speaking with constituents about current events, their priorities, and issues they care about at home in #WA08. Thank you for having me!” Such visits are part of her ongoing constituent engagement efforts.
Later that same day, Schrier extended holiday greetings to those observing Passover. She wrote, “From my family to yours, Chag Pesach Sameach to all celebrating in the Eighth District! May this season bring peace and joy to all. Happy Passover!”
Schrier has represented Washington’s Eighth Congressional District since 2019. Her work often focuses on community development initiatives and direct communication with constituents.
