U.S. Representative Kim Schrier, M.D., who serves Washington’s 8th district, shared updates on recent community engagements and constituent outreach through a series of posts on her official Twitter account.

On August 2, 2025, Schrier wrote about honoring a local veteran: “I had the honor of presenting Milton Anderson, a Vietnam Veteran from Manson, with a commemorative pin to recognize and thank him for his service. If you or someone you know is a Vietnam Veteran who would like to receive a pin thanking them for their service, please contact my https://t.co/REdx3MRNR9”.

The following day, she reflected on her participation in a town hall event: “I had a great time at my town hall last night in Granite Falls, where I was able to speak with my constituents about everything from Forest Service funding to protecting healthcare access and critical food assistance programs that help local families. Thank you to everyone who https://t.co/iLSTXeKZlR” (August 3, 2025).

Later that same day, Schrier highlighted her visit to a new community resource: “I had the chance to visit the fantastic new Lake Chelan Valley Boys & Girls Club this week, which will provide all kinds of after-school programming, recreation, summer camps, arts and activities for families in the area! https://t.co/8yHS8m1is7” (August 3, 2025).

Schrier has represented Washington’s 8th District since 2019 after succeeding Dave Reichert. She was born in Los Angeles in 1968 and currently resides in Sammamish. Schrier earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991.
