On January 21, 2026, Schrier posted about her legislative efforts: “At a time when Americans are struggling to afford skyrocketing healthcare costs, it’s vital that we do all we can to make care more affordable.

Schrier has represented Washington’s 8th District in Congress since succeeding Dave Reichert in 2019. She was born in Los Angeles in 1968 and currently resides in Sammamish. Schrier graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991.
