Representative Kim Schrier, M.D., currently serving Washington’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, has shared several updates regarding her recent activities and ongoing initiatives through social media posts. Schrier, who succeeded Dave Reichert in 2019 and resides in Sammamish, provided information about a local restoration project, weekly constituent communications, and Disability Pride Month.
On July 10, 2025, Schrier highlighted the progress of an environmental initiative with the statement: “The Issaquah Creek restoration project at Lake Sammamish State Park preserves a valued state park for our communities, protects wildlife habitats, and uplifts our local economies. I was proud to tour this project today after securing over $1M in federal funding to restore the”.
On July 12, 2025, she announced her latest outreach communication by stating: “Here is this week’s Schrier Flyer!”.
Later on July 12, 2025, Schrier recognized Disability Pride Month with a message: “July is Disability Pride Month! This month, we recognize the contributions of the disability community and recommit ourselves to working towards a more inclusive society.”
Kim Schrier was born in Los Angeles in 1968 and earned her BS from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991.
