Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., a member of Congress representing Washington’s 8th district since 2019, posted several updates on her official social media account this week, highlighting legislative achievements and constituent services.

On August 15, 2025, Schrier marked the anniversary of key veterans’ legislation, stating: “Three years ago this week, the PACT ACT was signed into law, giving Veterans exposed to dangerous toxins the care that they need and deserve. I’m proud to have voted for this legislation and will continue working to support our Veterans in Congress. For more information or to”.

Later that day, she shared a regular update with constituents: “Here is this week’s Schrier Flyer! https://t.co/MOI3mQmnFR” (August 15, 2025).

The following day, Schrier highlighted her office’s assistance with federal agencies: “My office recently helped Jiana from Sammamish resolve an issue with her mother’s tax return. Read more about what Jiana had to say and be sure to contact my office if you need help with the IRS, VA, Social Security, or another federal agency. https://t.co/F65hAHuUXN” (August 16, 2025).

Schrier has represented Washington’s 8th District since succeeding Dave Reichert in 2019. She was born in Los Angeles in 1968 and currently resides in Sammamish. Schrier holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
