Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 8th District, has been actively engaging with various organizations and issues pertinent to her constituents. Her recent social media activity highlights her focus on library support, women’s health advocacy, and environmental conservation.

On March 10, 2025, Rep. Schrier expressed her appreciation for the King County Library System (KCLS) through a tweet stating: “Thanks to @KCLS, we have some of the best libraries in the country right here in the Eighth District.” She mentioned meeting with the KCLS team in Washington, D.C., to discuss their priorities and potential collaborations.

The following day, March 11, 2025, she addressed OB-GYNs at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists’ Congressional Leadership Conference. In her tweet she noted: “Today, I spoke at @acog’s Congressional Leadership Conference… While extreme Republicans continue their attacks on reproductive care, I’ll always stand up and fight for women’s health.”

Later that same day, Rep. Schrier called upon the administration to reconsider workforce cuts within the Forest Service. Her statement read: “I’ve proudly called on the administration to rescind their @forestservice workforce cuts because… keeping our forests healthy is vital both for recreation and for preventing catastrophic wildfires.”
