***UPDATE @1645 06/14/22*** After receiving so many stitches that the doctor ran out of thread, Officer Wallace is all patched up and in good spirits. He will be taking some time off to recover, and to consider our suggestion of getting a cool Mike Tyson style face tattoo to cover his new scars. For immediate release:A Kittitas Police Officer sustained significant injuries after being struck in the face with a sharp object while responding to a subject who had made homicidal statements in the area of Alpine Estates in the City of Kittitas. The KPD Officer was transported to KVH where he is expected to make a full recovery. The suspect is in custody. There is no further threat to the community from this subject. The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office will be taking over the investigation. The City of Kittitas will release more information as it becomes available for release.
