Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 8th District, recently took to social media to engage with her constituents on various topics. Her posts covered opportunities for local students, expressed condolences over a tragic event, and highlighted environmental awareness.

On June 3, 2025, Rep. Schrier announced that her office is “currently accepting applications for our fall 2025 internship” from Eighth District students. She noted that the deadline for applications is July 7th and provided a link for submissions here.

The following day, June 4, Rep. Schrier shared her condolences regarding the deaths of Olivia, Evelyn, and Paityn in Wenatchee. She described their passing as “a horrific tragedy for the city of Wenatchee” and extended her thoughts and prayers to their family and loved ones here.

On June 5, Rep. Schrier celebrated World Environment Day by acknowledging the natural beauty within the Eighth District. She emphasized a commitment to maintaining these landscapes’ health and cleanliness for future generations here.

Rep. Kim Schrier has been serving in Congress since she succeeded Dave Reichert in 2019. Born in Los Angeles in 1968, she resides in Sammamish and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
