Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., who represents Washington’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on her official Twitter account addressing issues ranging from environmental concerns to constituent services.
On August 23, 2025, Schrier emphasized the significance of the Enchantments region for both local residents and Americans nationwide. She wrote, “It is hard to overstate just how important the Enchantments are to our constituents in Washington state and Americans across the nation. Now, conditions in the Enchantments are deteriorating because of the Trump Administration’s cuts that are jeopardizing critical staffing”.
Later that day, she reminded students in her district about opportunities for military academy nominations. In a tweet posted at 20:00 UTC on August 23, Schrier stated, “Reminder for Eighth District students: My office is currently accepting applications for military academy nominations.
