Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Washington’s 8th district, posted updates on her official X account regarding both public health and local wildfire incidents in early September 2025.

On September 4, Schrier commented on a recent Senate hearing involving Robert F. Kennedy Jr., writing: “On RFK Jr.’s inability to answer the simplest public health question posed by Senator Bennett: https://t.co/X6mgd9QVMK”.

The following day, September 5, she addressed ongoing wildfire threats in Washington state. Schrier stated: “My office is actively monitoring the Lower Sugarloaf Fire in Chelan County and the Labor Mountain Fire northwest of Cle Elum as they develop.

Schrier has represented Washington’s 8th District since 2019 after succeeding Dave Reichert. Born in Los Angeles in 1968, she resides in Sammamish and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
