Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., who represents Washington’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates this week on meetings with state defense officials, healthcare leaders, and local seniors.
On December 6, Schrier posted about a meeting with Major General Gent Welsh of the Washington State National Guard. She wrote, “I had a great meeting this week with Major General Gent Welsh of the Washington State National Guard to discuss our state’s defense and security priorities, and how best to support our communities.”
Later that day, she highlighted a roundtable discussion at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. Schrier has served as the congressional representative for Washington’s 8th District since 2019 after succeeding Dave Reichert. Born in Los Angeles in 1968 and currently residing in Sammamish, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
