On July 12, 2025, Schrier highlighted her meeting with The Garage, a non-profit organization in Issaquah that supports teens by connecting them with resources. She stated: “I had a great meeting this week with The Garage, a non-profit that supports teens in Issaquah and connects them with a variety of resources. Spaces like The Garage serve as a second home for many of our teens and support their social and emotional health, and I look forward to”.
On July 13, 2025, Schrier discussed her office’s efforts to assist constituents in navigating federal agencies. She noted: “My office recently helped Brad from Bonney Lake secure Social Security benefits after waiting to get his claim resolved. Later that same day, Schrier addressed proposed changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) during a meeting with Food Lifeline staff. Kim Schrier has represented Washington’s 8th District since 2019 after succeeding Dave Reichert. Born in Los Angeles in 1968 and now residing in Sammamish, she holds a BS from the University of California, Berkeley.
