Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 8th district since 2019, shared updates on her recent activities and positions in a series of posts on social media.

On August 27, 2025, Schrier posted about her visit to Carnation Farms: “I had a wonderful visit to Carnation Farms, where I learned about their recent regenerative agriculture work and discussed with their livestock and farmstand teams about how best to continue to support farmers in Congress.”

The following day, August 28, she commented on a decision by the FDA under RFK Jr.: “Today’s decision by RFK Jr.’s FDA will jeopardize access to vaccines that have been proven to save lives and make it difficult—if not impossible—for people who want this vaccine to actually get it. That is the opposite of protecting public health.”

Later that same day, Schrier highlighted her tour of a local food bank: “I had the chance to tour the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank’s new space that will help their team better serve the community, and met with staff to hear about their produce stand, grocery pickup service, and essential goods distribution programs. Support for resources like these at”

Schrier has served as the representative for Washington’s 8th District since replacing Dave Reichert in 2019. She was born in Los Angeles in 1968 and currently resides in Sammamish. Schrier graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
