The official website for the City of East Wenatchee will get a facelift, thanks to $50,000 from the city’s CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security) Act fund, KPQ reported.
Trina Elmes, Events Director, said the city’s website hasn’t been updated since 2012. While web design company Vision created the website that time around, Granicus has acquired the company since then. This time, CivicPlus was selected to do the website out of 11 contenders.
Elmes expressed the importance of the updated website amid COVID-19.
“With COVID-19 hitting, we have a lot more need to go do things online on our website. (We need to) take other kinds of payments online that we don’t normally take online. We have a need for an internet portal for our staff. Things to make it easier for our citizens to find things on our website and conduct business,” she told KPQ.
