Wenatchee Valley College issued the following announcement on Mar. 3.
The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation is accepting nominations for the 2022 WVC Distinguished Alumni Award. Nomination forms must be submitted by Mar. 31, 2022.
The purpose of the WVC Distinguished Alumni Award is to recognize an alum who has:
- distinguished themselves in their chosen professional field
- made significant contributions to their community on a local, state, national or international level
- demonstrated integrity in their personal life and gained the respect of their peers.
Nominations can be submitted by completing the nomination form. These forms can be found at wvc.edu/Awards.
The award dates back 35 years. Last year, Jaime Ramirez received the award for his outstanding engagement in our community as an educator and coach. He is currently a teacher at Cascade Elementary at Eastmont. Ramirez graduated from WVC in 2010. Past recipients include Barbara Walters, Malachi Salcido and Kari Page.
