The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation, in partnership with student government on both campuses, is hosting the second annual Finish Line Scholarship Fun Run.

The Finish Line Scholarship helps WVC students with one quarter or fewer courses left to graduate. The goal is to create an opportunity for students to complete their degree.

The fun run is May 14 in Omak and May 21 in Wenatchee. A virtual option of a 5K or 10K is scheduled for May 6-22.

Registration fees are $5 for students, $25 for non-students and $100 for a team of 5.  Participants who register before May 1will receive a race t-shirt. Business sponsorships are also available.

“The Fun Run is the perfect event to bring students and the community together to impact the lives of those around them,” said WVC Foundation Executive Director Rachel Evey. “We are excited to help students complete their degree at WVC.”

Last year, the inaugural fun run was held virtually and raised $2,345.

“I want to thank everyone that chose me for this scholarship,” said, WVC student Daniela, a recipient of the Finish Line Scholarship. “It will help me to further my education with less worries.”
