Please join Douglas County and the City of East Wenatchee for a public meeting to learn more about our upcoming joint project on 19th St NW! The open house style meeting will be on January 10, 2023 from 4pm – 6pm at the Douglas County Public Services Building, 140 19th St, NW.
The primary goal associated with this multifaceted project is to provide treatment of stormwater events associated with Columbia River bound runoff generated by the 19th Street NW corridor and a portion of Cascade Avenue. Selected treatment best management practices (BMPs) will utilize low impact methods including bio-filtration, and bio-infiltration. In conjunction, capital transportation improvements and safety objectives will be achieved with the installation of pedestrian and bicycle facilities while removing obstructions and channelizing the existing roadways.
