Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 8th district, recently shared several updates via social media on topics ranging from healthcare enrollment to resources for those affected by power outages. Schrier has been serving in Congress since 2019 and is actively involved in communicating essential information to her constituents.

On November 24, 2024, Rep. Schrier reminded residents of Washington about the commencement of open enrollment for health and dental plans. She emphasized that this period will continue until January 15th and provided a link for shopping new plans: "Reminder for all Washingtonians: Open enrollment has begun and lasts until January 15th."

The following day, November 25, she addressed those experiencing power outages, offering guidance on where to find additional resources or contact her office directly at (425) 657-1001. She also included a link for further assistance: "For those who are still without power, please follow the link below for additional resources or reach out to our office at (425) 657-1001."

On November 26, Rep. Schrier informed her followers about a resource hub set up by Puget Sound Energy (PSE) at Tiger Mountain Country Store in Issaquah. This hub was available from 11:30 am to 5 pm, providing services such as device charging and Wi-Fi access: "Today, @PSETalk will have a resource hub from 11:30 am – 5 pm in Issaquah at Tiger Mountain Country Store."
