Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., a U.S. Congresswoman representing Washington’s 8th district since 2019, recently shared several updates via her social media account. The posts reflect her involvement in both regional and national matters.

On January 23, 2025, Rep. Schrier extended her congratulations to Ichiro Suzuki, a notable figure in the Pacific Northwest and a long-time member of the Seattle Mariners baseball team. She remarked on his recognition by stating: "Congratulations to Ichiro, a Pacific Northwest icon and Mariner for life, on this well-deserved honor!"

She introduced the bipartisan Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act aimed at enhancing the nutritional value of school lunches.
