Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 8th district, recently made a series of statements on social media addressing various pressing issues. Schrier has been in office since 2019, succeeding Dave Reichert.

On January 30, 2025, Rep. Schrier expressed her condolences to those affected by a recent tragedy, stating "I extend my sincere condolences to the families in Kansas and across the country whose loved ones were lost in last night's tragic collision."

Later that day, Schrier addressed legislative developments regarding reproductive rights, criticizing certain political maneuvers. She stated on January 30, 2025: "Extreme Republicans are doing exactly what we knew they would—pushing a full national abortion ban that would strip women in Washington State of their reproductive freedom. We must fight back, and I’ll keep standing up for reproductive rights in Congress."

The following day, on January 31, 2025, Schrier commented on an exchange involving Senator Angela Alsobrooks and RFK Jr., noting concerns about vaccine schedules proposed for different racial groups. She reported: "Senator Angela Alsobrooks questioned RFK Jr. on his belief that African Americans should be under a different vaccine schedule than white people. In response, RFK Jr. stood by this dangerous, unfounded belief."
