Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 8th district, has been vocal on social media about her stance against the Trump Administration's policies and her ongoing engagement with educational and agricultural communities. Her recent tweets reflect her commitment to education and local businesses.

On March 18, 2025, Rep. Schrier expressed her concerns regarding the Trump Administration's efforts to dismantle the Department of Education. She stated, "The Trump Administration’s attempt to dismantle the Department of Education will hurt our children, and I’ll do everything I can to stand up for local parents, students, and teachers."

The following day, March 19, 2025, she shared her engagement with educational leaders by welcoming principals and administrators from AWSP Principals to her office in Washington D.C. She emphasized listening to their needs amidst current administrative challenges: "I recently welcomed principals, administrators, and students from @AWSP_Principals to my D.C. office to hear directly from them on the resources, programs, and support they need."

Later that same day, Rep. Schrier visited Wilcox Family Farms where she discussed significant issues affecting local agriculture such as the avian flu outbreak. She mentioned this visit in a tweet stating: "I stopped by Wilcox Family Farms to check in and learn how their business is doing." This reflects her proactive approach in addressing agricultural concerns within her constituency.
