Representative Kim Schrier, M.D., an elected official serving Washington's 8th Congressional District since 2019, has been active on social media sharing her perspectives and communications. In recent tweets, she touched on various topics including workforce cuts, student art competitions, and vaccine safety.

On April 9, 2025, Rep. Schrier criticized the cuts to the Forest Service workforce under President Trump's administration. She expressed support for the service, noting, "Our @forestservice employees are dedicated public servants who play an indispensable role in keeping us safe, and President Trump’s massive Forest Service workforce cuts are disrespectful to their hard work and leave communities like the Eighth District vulnerable to catastrophic".

The following day, April 10, 2025, she reminded high school students about the deadline for a Congressional art initiative. She encouraged participation by tweeting, "Reminder for local high school students: there is one week left to submit your artwork for the Congressional Art Competition. Later that same day, Schrier addressed ongoing controversies related to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s views on vaccines. She asserted her stance on public health issues in a tweet: "RFK Jr. has a long, disgraceful track record of peddling conspiracy theories on vaccines that have caused parents to question the safety and efficacy of vaccinations. I will continue to hold him accountable for outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases like Measles."

Kim Schrier was born in Los Angeles in 1968 and is a University of California, Berkeley graduate. She now resides in Sammamish, Washington. Her role in Congress includes addressing both local and national issues impacting her district and constituents.
