Rep. Kim Schrier, currently serving as a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 8th district, has taken to social media to share her thoughts and updates on recent developments.

On April 5, 2025, Rep. Schrier extended her congratulations to Derek Sheffield, a professor at Wenatchee Valley College, for his appointment as the new Washington State Poet Laureate. "Wishing him all the best in this role!”, she remarked.

In a post on the same day, Rep. Schrier expressed concern over changes initiated by President Trump, noting, "President Trump’s destructive decision to decimate the FDA workforce will slow down the approval of medical devices and impact the safety of our food and medical products, from sunscreen to children’s Tylenol." She highlighted potential repercussions on public health safety.

On April 6, 2025, Rep. Schrier detailed her commitment to enhancing healthcare services for rural communities. She shared her efforts to advocate for legislative solutions, stating, "I'm focused on working in Congress to strengthen rural health care to ensure that my constituents can get the care they need close to home, and I'm happy to work in a bipartisan effort to introduce this legislation."
