Kim Schrier addresses district priorities amid political challenges

Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 8th District, has shared a series of updates on her Twitter account. Schrier, who replaced Dave Reichert in 2019, has been vocal about her commitment to her constituents and the ongoing political climate.

On January 29, 2025, Rep. Schrier commented on recent developments related to the Trump Administration: "This is a big win, but make no mistake, this fight is far from over." She emphasized her dedication to standing up for the priorities of the Eighth District amidst what she describes as "chaos, confusion, and illegal acts."

The following day on January 30, 2025, she expressed satisfaction with a town hall meeting held in Issaquah: "I had a great time at my town hall in Issaquah yesterday!" Rep. Schrier acknowledged the concerns of her constituents amid changes in administration and Congress and valued the opportunity to engage directly with them.

Later that day, she reminded local college students about an internship opportunity: "Reminder for local college students: Today is the last day to apply for our Spring 2025 internship in my Issaquah office." This call-to-action underscores her focus on involving young people in governmental processes through internships.
