Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., a U.S. Congress member representing Washington's 8th district since 2019, expressed her concerns regarding the statements and qualifications of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in a series of tweets on January 31, 2025. As a pediatrician, Schrier emphasized the importance of vaccines for children's safety.

In her first tweet on January 31, 2025, Rep. Schrier criticized RFK Jr.'s stance on vaccines: "Despite study after study proving otherwise, RFK Jr. stood by his belief that there is a link between vaccines and autism." She reaffirmed the scientific consensus by stating that "there is no reputable study that shows a link between vaccines and autism."

On the same day, Schrier posted another tweet highlighting her view on RFK Jr.'s suitability for public office: "These hearings and his track record of spreading fear and misinformation show that RFK Jr. is a danger to our public health and does not have the character, qualifications, or credibility to serve as the Secretary of @HHSGov."

Further expressing her concerns about Kennedy's competence, Schrier noted in an additional tweet: "In addition to his horrific track record on public health, RFK Jr.’s complete and total incompetence was also on full display, particularly when questioned by Senator Hassan on the basics of Medicare." This statement reflects her doubts about his understanding of critical healthcare issues.
