Kim Schrier, M.D., currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 8th District, has expressed her condolences and shared updates on her recent activities through a series of tweets. Schrier, who replaced former U.S. Congress member Dave Reichert in 2019, is known for being accessible to her constituents.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Kim Schrier tweeted about the passing of Congressman Sylvester Turner: "I'm deeply saddened to hear of Congressman Sylvester Turner's passing. For decades, Congressman Turner served his community in Houston as a state representative with devotion, and then chose to continue as mayor, and as a member of Congress. My thoughts are with his friends,…"

Later that day, she reaffirmed her commitment to being accessible to her constituents by announcing an upcoming telephone town hall: "Anyways... On March 6, 2025, Rep. Schrier reminded her followers about the scheduled telephone town hall event: "Reminder that I'm hosting a telephone town hall tonight at 5:30pm PST.
