Kim Schrier engages constituents through town hall meetings and advocacy discussions

Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 8th District, recently engaged with her constituents and shared insights into her professional and personal experiences through a series of tweets. Her communication efforts reflect her dedication to public service and personal advocacy.

On March 7, 2025, Rep. Schrier expressed appreciation for connecting with over 7,500 constituents during a telephone town hall meeting. She emphasized her commitment to representing everyone in the Eighth District by stating, "It was great to connect with over 7,500 constituents on a telephone town hall tonight! I represent everyone in the Eighth District, and I always appreciate the opportunity to hear from you and answer your most pressing questions. Thanks to all who joined the conversation!"

Later that day, Rep. Schrier highlighted her engagement with advocates dedicated to addressing type-1 diabetes (T1D). As someone personally affected by T1D, she shared her gratitude towards these advocates: "As a doctor and someone with type-1 diabetes, I understand the challenges that come with managing this disease and am grateful to have spoken to the advocates at @BreakthroughT1D who are dedicated to research, treatment, prevention, and finding cures for this T1D."
