Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 8th District, recently shared insights and updates through a series of tweets. Schrier, who has been in office since 2019 after replacing Dave Reichert, addressed various topics including climate change discussions, healthcare enrollment deadlines, and travel assistance for her constituents.

On December 4, 2024, Rep. Kim Schrier tweeted about moderating a discussion for SEEC (Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition). The focus was on the impact of climate change on different businesses such as restaurants and outdoor recreation. She highlighted the steps Congress can take to communicate and address this crisis effectively. "Today, I had the chance to moderate a discussion for @SEEC to focus on how climate change will impact various businesses..."

Later that day, she reminded Washingtonians about the upcoming deadline for signing up for health or dental plans through WAplanfinder. In her tweet dated December 4, 2024, she mentioned that hundreds of thousands signed up last year and emphasized that the deadline is January 15th. "The deadline to sign up for a health or dental plan through @WAplanfinder is next month."

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Schrier addressed families in Washington's Eighth District who are planning holiday travels soon. She offered assistance with passport issues via her office's services if needed during their travel preparations. "With the holidays approaching...If you happen to run into an issue and need help getting a passport..."
