Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D., currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 8th district, has shared several reflections and updates on her social media platform. Her recent posts include historical reflections and current commemorations.

On December 6, 2024, Rep. Kim Schrier reflected on a significant moment in American history. She stated, "On December 6, 1865, the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment abolished slavery in the United States. As we reflect on this dark chapter in our nation’s history, we’re reminded of our continued pursuit of building a more just and perfect union."

In another post dated December 7, 2024, Rep. Schrier provided constituents with an update by sharing her weekly newsletter. She announced its availability with the statement: "Here is this week's Schrier Flyer! https://t.co/kPpGie7Fcn"

Later that day, she commemorated Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day with a tribute to those who lost their lives during the attack. On December 7, 2024, she posted: "On Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, we remember and mourn the 2,403 servicemembers and civilians who lost their lives. We will never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice that day."
